Al Salam Hospitals announce the Grand Opening of Al Salam Al Ahmadi Hospital in Mahboula
The new Al Salam Al Ahmadi Hospital, a subsidiary of Kuwait Finance House (KFH), was officially inaugurated under the patronage of Kuwait's Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi. Located in Mahboula and spanning 5,300 square meters, this facility aims to significantly enhance healthcare services in the region.
The opening ceremony was graced by prominent figures, including the Governor of Al-Ahmadi, His Excellency Sheikh Homoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, KFH Chairman Hamad Abdulmohsen Al Marzouq, KFH Acting Group Chief Executive Officer Abdulwahab Iesa Al Rushood, KFH-Kuwait Chief Executive Officer Khaled Yousef AlShamlan, Al Salam Chairman Fawaz Al Enezi, and Al Salam Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ayman Al Mutawa, along with various officials from both the public and private healthcare sectors.
In his address, Dr. Ayman Al Mutawa emphasized that the hospital's establishment is part of ongoing efforts to elevate healthcare quality in Kuwait. He noted that the hospital will broaden its services while prioritizing modern medical technologies and advanced facilities. This project is a vital element of a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing healthcare for both citizens and residents.
The concept for the hospital originated in 2018, following a comprehensive feasibility study focused on creating an advanced medical facility as part of Al Salam Hospitals' expansion plan. Dr. Al Mutawa pointed out that the opening of Al Salam Al Ahmadi Hospital is a continuation of the legacy established by Al Salam Al Asima Hospital, which began its journey in 1964. The new hospital meets all necessary construction and medical standards, ensuring it is fully prepared to accept patients.
Equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities, Al Salam Al Ahmadi Hospital offers a range of services designed to deliver precise and efficient care. The hospital features operating and maternity wards, luxurious patient suites, 98 beds, and 9 operating rooms. Additionally, it includes advanced delivery rooms and support departments such as radiology and laboratory services, along with dedicated pediatric and physiotherapy departments.
Notably, the hospital has established a twinning agreement with the largest physiotherapy center in the Netherlands, further enhancing its capabilities. The dermatology department is equipped with cutting-edge technology to address various skin and body concerns.
Dr. Ayman Al Mutawa reiterated Al Salam Hospitals' commitment to providing top-quality healthcare services, aligned with international standards, to bolster the healthcare sector in Kuwait.
