Advanced Maternity Nursing Course

Al Salam Al Assima Hospital Medical Development Center in collaboration with the Manipal University of India organized an “Advanced Maternity Nursing Course” for Nurses from the Inpatient units, Labour room, OBER, Obstetric Gynec OPD and Operation Theatre from 23rd to 28th November 2024 at Al Salam Al Assima hospital with an objective to promote family centered care in Maternity Nursing and to enhance the skills of Nurses in delivering high quality Maternity Nursing services. The course was conducted by Dr. Sonia Rosaline, Head of Department of OBG and Ms.Ranjani Palanisamy, Assistant Professor Senior scale from Manipal university with more than 20 years of experience in the field of Clinical teaching. Various workshops and OSCE were conducted on real-time scenarios which makes the Nurses to be highly competent in handling obstetric emergencies and providing antenatal/postnatal care best practices. The attendees received a course completion certificate from Manipal university. It was an outstanding experience for our staffs in the continuous professional development related to the advances in Maternal and Neonatal care.
